AN MBE and police committee member will be sentenced next Wednesday for sexually assaulting a teenager five times.
Jamnadras Sudra kissed and touched the 15-year-old girl in his shop in Church Row, Chislehurst.
The offences occurred once on November 26, twice on December 3 and twice on December 10 last year.
Sudra, who was made an MBE in December 1996 for services to the community, was found guilty of five counts of sexual assault at Croydon Crown Court on August 10.
He told the court how he was happily married to his wife who worked with him in the shop and he had three grandchildren.
The probation service is preparing a report on the 69-year-old member of the Bromley Police Community Liaison Committee, known locally as "Jimmy", which will be taken into consideration when he is sentenced.
