POLICE are continuing to appeal for help in identifying a man who collapsed and died on Blackheath common.

The deceased man was jogging on Blackheath at 10.47am on Tuesday (April 19), when members of the public saw him collapse at the junction of Blackheath Common and Pond Road.

Two members of the public attempted to resuscitate him and London Ambulance Service was called.

The man was taken to Lewisham hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11.40am.

The only item found in the man's possession was a set of four keys.

He was wearing white and blue Brooks trainers, size 10.5, white sports socks, purple running shorts and a black T-shirt.

He was not wearing any jewellery and did not have any tattoos.

There is one scar which might be the result of having an appendix removed.

He is a white man, with short, brown hair with some grey in it.

He is 6ft 4ins to 6ft 5ins tall, of medium build, and aged between 35 and 45 years old.

He had some stubble which was light brown with some grey in it.

A post mortem examination will take place in due course but at this stage his death is not believed to be suspicious.
