Thames21 is hosting a family-friendly Easter holiday clean-up of the River Shuttle on Friday (15th) from 10am until noon. All ages are welcome, but under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. Bexley Council’s contract to send its non-recyclable rubbish to the new Belvedere incinerator is on target to start in the middle of this month. The Riverside Resource Recovery plant in Norman Road, Belvedere, did its first successful test burn on February 26.
