A TELEVISION star clowned around when she officially reopened Mottingham Community Centre yesterday (April 2).
Victoria Alcock, who played Julie on ITV1’s Bad Girls, cut the ribbon at the centre in Kimmeridge Road before spending time with the clowns and people who had come to see what was going on.
To celebrate the opening there was a Mottingham community day to bring everyone together around the centre.
This included balloon modelling and juggling from stilt-walking shopafrolics, a comedy clown duo, a bouncy castle and Territorial Army members.
The hall reopening comes after three years of work by the Mottingham Community Association and Bromley Council.
It will provide preschool facilities and opportunities for groups and individuals to use a meeting room as well as a large hall for activities, parties and events.
