FIRE engines were called to a pot fire at an address in Plumstead this morning.
The fire brigade were called at 7.35am to a cooking pot that had been left on a hob at Azile Everitt House, Blendon Terrace .
A neighbour, who saw the smoke, alerted the occupier of the property and got her out.
Fire fighters at the scene had to wear breathing apparatus to get through the smoke.
No one was injured.
