Snow is set to return to the region tomorrow and temperatures are expected to plummet as low as -6 °C towards the end of the week.

Forecasters are predicting light snow showers in places, as early as tomorrow morning. These should have cleared by midday and with temperatures staying above freezing, it’s hoped they won’t cause the disruption experience in previous weeks.

For most places, tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with a little rain through the morning and early afternoon.

The Met Office have put weather warnings in place and predict snow hitting parts of London and the South East from Thursday when it will become much colder and very windy with snow developing more widely on Friday and Saturday.

Looking further ahead, bookies have slashed the odds of a white Christmas and Jonathan Powell, from Positive Weather Solutions, said snow on Christmas day is a "foregone conclusion".
