A DRIVER had to be cut from his car after a crash in a toll booth in Dartford.

Two fire crews from Dartford attended the incident at 9.45pm on Sunday December 12 after two cars collided.

Mahmoud Madran, who is in his thirties, from Croydon, was trapped inside his car for approximately 30 minutes whilst fire crews used hydraulic cutters to remove his car roof.

He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital by ambulance after suffering spinal injuries.

The crash happened when two cars were queueing to pay at the Dartford Toll. Both cars were on the Kent side of the tunnel.

Fire crews remained at the site until 11pm to ensure the scene was safe and to remove the hydraulic equipment used.
