SCHOOL pupils have given Christmas hampers full of food to elderly people at an Age Concern centre.
Students at Kelsey Park Sports College donated their own money to buy 45 hampers for senior citizens at the Age Concern Penge and Anerley branch’s centre in Melvin Road, Penge.
The pupils handed over the hampers yesterday, and members of the school’s drama club also performed short Christmas plays.
Damian Lamb, assistant head teacher at the school in Beckenham, said: “Every year our students dig deep into their pockets and we are always amazed at their generosity.
“They really enjoy visiting the centre and are always interested in talking to the pensioners.”
