FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a fish and chip shop in Charlton over the weekend.
The London Fire Brigade was called at 8.50pm on Saturday (December 11) to reports of a fire at the shop, which has flats above, on Charlton Church Lane.
A small part of the shop on the ground floor and some ducting in the basement was damaged.
Around 20 firefighters attended the scene, which included crews from Greenwich, East Greenwich, Woolwich and Deptford.
The fire was under control by 10.25pm and the cause is under investigation.
No one was injured or evacuated.
