A PROJECT aimed at getting people involved in environmental work is holding another workshop event on December 18.
Embrace the Wild is a series of free events run by non-profit organisation Embrace Cooperation Ltd and funded by the Big Lottery Community Wildlife programme.
Centred on Lesnes Abbey Wood in Abbey Wood, eight of the events are aimed at the general public and six will be tailored especially for young people.
The workshop will teach people to use traditional woodland tools to create chestnut post-and-rail fencing, using wood coppiced from the woods during a previous workshop.
The fencing will then be used to protect wildlife areas within Lesnes Abbey Wood.
All tools, safety equipment and drinks will be provided and people should wear suitable clothes, sturdy shoes and have an up-to-date tetanus jab.
Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
To book a place at the workshop call 020 7274 9450 or email john.c@myembrace.org
