CYCLISTS in Lewisham are being offered one day maintenance courses at a subsidised price.
People can learn how to recognise a range of problems with their bike and how to take preventative measures.
The basic and intermediate level courses are run by Cycle Training UK and will take place until March next year.
Anyone over the age of 16 who lives, works or studies in the borough can apply to go on the course.
Cabinet member for regeneration, Councillor Alan Smith, said: “I hope people will make the most of these facilities and courses and use the opportunities to start cycling.
“It’s not only better for the environment, it's more economical and healthier for individuals.”
