A YOUNGSTER who turned her life around with support from a youth charity has been honoured at a prestigious awards ceremony.
Chelsea Hines, 17, of New Eltham, was presented with the runner up prize for the Breakthrough award at The Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success ceremony.
After leaving school without any qualifications, she was offered support by the trust and eventually took up a hairdressing course.
Chelsea said: “My career horizons are broadening and I have more choices now for my future.
“I want to one day own my own salon and with the help of the trust I have been able to believe that I can do that.”
