A 15-YEAR development plan to overhaul Bromley town centre has been given the green light by councillors.
The area action plan is intended to be a framework which developers would have to follow if they want to build on town centre sites identified by the council.
These sites include the Westmoreland Road car park site near Bromley South which is expected to be redeveloped as a hotel and cinema complex.
Portfolio holder for renewal and recreation Councillor Julian Benington said: “We are committed to providing first class services and facilities for residents. “Our vision sees the town’s green spaces becoming more open and accessible, as well as creating active public spaces, and encouraging a café culture.”
