SHOPPERS will be treated to free parking over the Christmas period.
Sevenoaks District Council has agreed to waive all parking charges in council car parks in Swanley on December 11 and December 18 in the run up to Christmas.
Cabinet member with responsibility for parking, Councillor Gary Williamson, said: "We’re pleased to be able to provide the free parking and hope it will contribute to a successful Christmas for everybody in the District, businesses and residents alike."
All car park and on-street ticket machines will be closed off on these days and people will not need to get a ticket.
However, all other parking conditions will still apply and parking areas will continue to be enforced as normal.
