A THEATRE group about to stage a production dealing with the rescue of 10,000 Jewish children from Germany is hoping to contact some of its survivors.

Kindertransport brought the children to safety just before the outbreak of the Second World War.

Now Erith Playhouse is performing a play called Kindertransport, by Diane Samuels, at the Erith High Street theatre from November 8 to November 13.

The play deals with the experience of a 10-year-old German girl whose mother puts her on the Kindertransport train and how the experience colours her adult life and affects her daughter in turn.

Director David Maun would like to hear from anyone living locally who travelled on the Kindertransport or is related to someone who did.

They would be invited to the theatre to see the play, meet the cast and share their experiences.
