TWO men who burgled homes in Lewisham borough have been jailed in separate cases at Woolwich Crown Court.

A property in Grangemill Road, Catford, was ransacked on August 23 and items including jewellery, a laptop and a mobile phone were stolen.

Mitchell Lea, 28, of Poole Court, Catford, pleaded guilty to burglary and was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison.

Dennis Julian, of Merritt Road, Brockley, was sentenced to four years in jail after pleading guilty to burglary.

On May 1 the 45-year-old forced his way in to a flat in Deptford.

When confronted by two men Julian lied and said he was a police officer.

When asked for identification, he got out a knife and was chased from the property.
