THE next national census for England and Wales takes place in March next year.
Now the Office for National Statistics which carries out the survey is looking for people to help get it done.
It has launched a recruitment campaign across England and Wales to fill 35,000 temporary jobs with a range of full and part-time positions.
The job opportunities will be spread right across the country.
In Bexley it is looking to recruit 120 people.
Tasks available will include co-ordinators managing teams of census takers; collectors who will provide help and support on the doorstep, and people to deal with communal facilities such as care homes, hotels and student halls of residence.
The census date will be March 27.
People can apply for the jobs online at censusjobs.co.uk or ask at local job centres.
