A CHURCH has been given permission to use its building during the night, despite protests from neighbours.
Bromley Council has approved Jubilee Church’s application to use its premises in Southlands Road, Bromley, after 11pm up to 18 times per year for training sessions, sleepovers and prayer vigils.
The church had been using the building at night for the last 18 months with temporary planning permission, which expired on September 3.
Neighbours had opposed the application, saying the activities inside the building and people coming and going late at night would cause a noise disturbance.
However, members of the council’s planning committee decided night time activities at the church would not cause such a disturbance to warrant rejecting the application.
