YOUNG children and their families celebrated Black History Month with storytelling, food tasting and music.
More than 80 people attended the event at Springfield Creche in Springfield Grove, Charlton.
Storytelling company, Whippersnappers, performed a story about a wise half man half spider called Anancy, which had a message about sharing with friends.
Youngsters enjoyed getting involved by dressing up as animals and acting out parts of the story.
They also got to beat out their own rhythms on African drums and try foods from different nations.
Creche co-ordinator Dorothy Samuels said: “It is wonderful to see people from many cultures celebrating Black History together and united as one”.
