A THUG wanted for an horrific assault has been caught by police after being on the run since last year.
Temitope Apanshile, 20, of Hickin Close, Charlton, was sentenced in his absence last April following a trial at Woolwich Crown Court.
He was caught by Greenwich police on October 19 and taken to Feltham Prison, where he will start his six-and-a-half year sentence for GBH.
CCTV had captured the 2007 assault outside the Mermaid nightclub in Woolwich High Street where two 16-year-olds were stabbed, kicked and punched whilst held on the floor by a gang.
The footage showed how they tried to put one victim in the boot of a car waiting near the scene.
Six others have already been jailed for the attack.
