PARENTS and carers could be missing out on help towards the costs of sending their children to school.
Education benefits include free school meals, school clothing grants and the cost of school trips and free school milk.
An Education Maintenance Allowance payment of up to £30 a week is also available for children over 16 who go to school or college after their GCSEs.
Greenwich Council’s cabinet member for children and young people, Councillor Jackie Smith, said: “We are committed to ensuring all children are given the best possible start in life and this includes helping out families who may be struggling to make ends meet.”
