SANTAS are being urged to ditch their sleighs and go for a run to raise cash for a charity.

People of all ages can take part in the annual 5km Santa Run at Greenwich Park on December 5.

Registration costs £20 and each runner will receive a Santa outfit.

Mines Advisory Group (MAG), a landmine clearance charity, is advising runners to set a fundraising target of £100.

MAG works in 17 of the world’s poorest countries removing and destroying a range of weapons including landmines, bombs, grenades, guns and ammunition, so communities can return to a normal way of life.
