DETECTIVES are investigating whether the death of a man who fell from a block of flats and the murder of a woman are linked.

Keith Van Cooten, 44, from Lewisham, fell from Torridon House, Randolph Gardens, Kilburn, on October 15.

Police were called at 7.23pm and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the death appears to be non-suspicious.

A post-mortem examination will be held later today at St Pancras Mortuary.

At 6.25pm at the same evening 34-year-old mother-of-two Amanda Farquharson from Wembley was found stabbed to death in a car in Harlesden.

It is believed that prior to her death Amanda was in her car - a black Toyota Yaris with the registration X224 JBO - having a heated argument with a man.

This suspect is described as a black man, around 6ft tall with a slim build and a goatee beard. He is believed to have been wearing dark coloured hooded top, blue or grey jeans and possibly a cream coloured baseball cap with blue writing on it.

The two deaths are provisionally being linked but inquiries continue and detectives retain an open mind.

A 53-year-old man arrested nearby in connection with the investigation has been released on bailed pending further inquiries.
