SCHOOLCHILDREN have donated their food to a charity which feeds people in need.
Pupils at Crofton Infant School in Towncourt Lane, Orpington, have given the food they collected for Harvest Festival to Orpington Food Bank.
The charity, which is run by The Oak Community Church in Chipperfield Road, St Paul’s Cray, supports people who struggle to buy their own food.
Food Bank volunteer Wendy May said: “School, social and support workers give vouchers to people they think may need food, and those people then come to our centre in Tillingbourne Green.
“We give them three days worth of food, and also put them in touch with any other agencies that can help them.”
