HOLLYWOOD superstar Jude Law returned to his old primary school to open a performing arts building.
The Sherlock Holmes star attended John Ball school, in Southvale Road, Blackheath, during the 1980s.
His visit included meeting former teachers Margaret Walker and David Culpan, and listening to the senior school choir and the Year 6 rock band.
He also spoke to the pupils during an assembly, recalling his part in the school’s Christmas play.
Mr Law told them: “Believe in yourself, love what you are doing and work hard.”
Head teacher Michael Roach said: “It certainly was an afternoon we will all remember for years to come.
“It is so nice to think that the school set him on his future path.”
