In light of England's quite disgraceful performance on Friday, isn't it time we stopped spoiling these brats and let them know who's boss?

Fabio Capello is the boss I'm talking about. Like most bosses, he makes good and bad decisions. But, as footballers like to say, 'at the end of the day', he is still the boss and what he says should go.

John Terry has other ideas, of course. Actually, his philosophy on how to conduct his private life leaves a lot to be desired, but we we won't go into that. His latest mutinous outburst concerning his boss's way of doing things is tantamount to football treason. He reckoned his teammates were behind him all the way but they have now slunk into the shadows and tried to make a big joke out of the whole thing. At least they know where their bread is buttered, I suppose.

The trouble is, the England players have been spoiled all their lives. They have never known what it is like to struggle because they have been nurtured to become professionals. Gone are the days when the England team was made up of men who juggled their football between proper, full-time jobs and low wages.

The England players earn too much money. It's a simple but true fact. I realise they only receive a fraction of the money they earn at their respective clubs when they represent their country but it's still a LOT of cash to play with.

Perhaps they should be made to play to the rule of, 'No win, no pay'. I mean, it's obvious the prestige of representing their country doesn't spur them onto success. They know exactly where the next million is coming from, so what incentive do these 'superstars' really have?

Every time the World Cup comes round it's the same story. We all know what will happen when England loses on Wednesday: Fabio will resign before he's pushed and receive a jolly nice golden handshake to take away with him. Just like all the previous failed England managers, in fact.

Unfortunately, we will still be left with the players themselves. I get fed up with hearing that it's all the manager's fault when our national team fails miserably and lets the whole country down.

The players have blamed Fabio for making them rest in their hotel rooms instead of going out on the beer and the razz. Oh, and they don't like the ball because they haven't had enough practise kicking it around prior to their first, dismal, game.

Excuses, excuses, excuses. Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled.

Rooney and Terry should be forced to hold a press conference and publicly apologise for their recent outbursts. I want to see them face the press and the cameras and apologise for their treachery and disregard for England fans. Surely, that's not too much to ask, is it?

I'm sure they'll find it a lot easier than scoring goals if their recent lacklustre performances are anything to go by.
