POLICE officers will be pushing themselves to limit by taking part in a heavy duty charity run.
A group of Lewisham police officers are taking part in the Fan Dance on May 29, which is part of the selection process to get into the UK Special Forces.
The team of 23 officers will have to run 24km across Pen y Fan, the highest point in the Welsh mountains, while carrying a 50lbs backpack and water.
They have been training twice a week for the last five months, completing 10km runs before or after their working shifts.
Officers hope to raise £10,000 for Help the Heroes charity, which gives support to people who have been wounded in the Armed Forces.
