OFFENDERS are to pay back the community by cleaning up the borough.
Graffiti and litter will be removed and bushes and trees will be pruned in and around the Shaftesbury Park area, Plaistow.
The Payback scheme, which started on May 27 and runs for the next three Saturdays, is run by the Safer Bromley Partnership, the Probation Service and the Met Police's Safer Neighbourhoods teams.
Head of the Plaistow and Sundridge Safer Neighbourhood team Sergeant Darryl Payne said: "We are always ready to listen and take action.
"Community Payback delivers benefits to residents as well as helping offenders redress some of the harm they have caused."
