IN THE TEAM: PC Neal McConnell, from Dartford, took part in Exercise Executive Stretch, a team-building weekend for employees in London to develop leadership and communication skills. It was held at Pirbright Army Training Camp, Surrey. He was in the fastest team for the assault course.
GET GROWING: A competition launched by Hawley Garden Centre, Hawley Road, Hawley, has challenged under-12s to grow their own pumpkins in time for Hallowe'en. Prizes will go to the biggest and best decorated pumpkins. Visit hawleygardencentre.co.uk for further details.
ON TOP: Van driver Ross Munday from Longfield has been highly commended in a competition to find the UK's top temporary worker. He was nominated for the award by his company, Drive Hire, Dartford, as part of National Temporary Workers Week.
