A SPATE of car crashes occurred over the bank holiday weekend.

At 9.15am on May 26, a white Toyota Hilux collided with a blue BMW in Crossway, Orpington.

The male driver of the Toyota was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough, with non life-threatening injuries.

On the same morning, a three-car collision occurred on Hastings Road, Bromley Common.

A silver Renault Megane drove into a lamppost and was hit by a blue Toyota Rav 4 and a white Vauxhall Astra.

The pregnant driver of the Megane was taken to Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, with non life-threatening injuries.

And the following day, at 6.20am, a blue Vauxhall Zafira collided with a bus stand in Hayes Lane, Beckenham. The driver declined ambulance treatment.

And two residents were taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, with minor injuries after a black Skoda Fabia struck a traffic island in Sevenoaks Way, Orpington at 7.43am.

A female driver and two teenagers were trapped in a silver Renault Clio for 20 minutes after colliding with a blue Vauxhall Astra at the junction of Court Road and Charterhouse Road, Orpington.

The Clio's driver was taken to Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, with neck and back injuries following the accident at 3.54pm on May 27.

On May 28 an 18-year-old male scooter rider was taken to Mayday Hospital, Croydon, with multiple fractures after colliding with a red Ford Fiesta at 9.48pm.

Roads surrounding the junction of Maple Road and Graveney Grove, Penge, were reopened at 1.11am the following day.
