CHILDREN braved the wet weather to take part in a sponsored bike ride.
More than 100 children from Tubbenden Infant and Junior Schools, Sandy Bury, Orpington, took part in the event, raising more than £600.
The event was organised by the school's parents' association to help create a wildlife area to be used by pupils from both schools.
It was followed by a football match and a barbecue.
Headteacher Michael Youlton said: "It was terrific to see so many children participating in the event.
"Their efforts should ensure we can start creating our wildlife garden next month."
