HOUSING bosses say half of a borough's homes are now up to national standard.
Greenwich Council is spending £200m on bringing all properties up to the Government's Decent Homes standard by 2010.
After a £56m investment last year, the council now says it has brought 50.3 per cent of its housing stock up to standard.
Cabinet member for housing Councillor Peter Kotz said: "It means more of our tenants and their families are benefiting from better kitchens and bathrooms and greater comfort and warmth."
Decent Homes is a Government initiative to bring more homes up to a national quality standard.
