YOUNGSTERS climbed aboard a bus for a day of fun.
The Lewisham Playbus visited the Silwood Estate, New Cross, to give children some entertainment and give their parents a break.
The former Routemaster bus has been converted into a children's play area by Lewisham Council.
It is equipped with a host of fun facilities for children, including a sandpit, a library and a box of toys.
Deputy mayor Heidi Alexander, who joined the children on the bus, says it will "brighten the lives of the most hard-to-reach young people in the borough".
The bus will be travelling across the borough throughout the summer.
