SCHOOLCHILDREN turned sleuths as they examined Victorian artefacts.
Year 6 children at Ashgrove School, Widmore Road, Bromley, were treated to an array of items supplied by Bromley Museum.
Janet Crowther, a freelance teacher working for the museum, brought along objects including a wooden lemon squeezer, a hot water bottle made of pottery, a rat trap and a metal chamber pot.
The children, who are currently studying the Victorian era as part of their history lessons, were encouraged to guess the use of each item.
Headteacher Dr Patricia Ash said: "Mrs Crowther said how knowledgeable the children were in this fascinating area of history."
