VOLUNTEERS who assist elderly people are being rewarded for their efforts with a party.
The annual party is being thrown for 100 volunteers who give their time at Northfleet Age Concern, Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, or at Meopham day centre in St John's Centre, Wrotham Road, Meopham.
The group will enjoy a hog roast and a live singer at the event on June 9.
Northfleet Age Concern, which has been running since 1951, operates a day centre six days a week and two days a week in Meopham.
Senior manager Cheryl Frame said: "It's our way of thanking them for their hard work throughout the year."
