NEXT stop, Junior Mastermind. Quiz winners from the 4th Erith Guides trounced more than 160 other entrants in a competition designed to exercise the grey matter of Guides from the Erith and Crayford division.
Each of the 10 Guide units in the division held their own individual quiz nights with competing teams of six.
Questions were set by a group of five Brownie and Rainbow leaders from the division.
The top seven teams went into the final, held at All Saints Church hall in Nuxley Road, Belvedere.
After 40 questions, three of the seven teams, 4th Erith (St John's), 5th Crayford and 1st Northumberland Heath, were tied at 34 marks.
The tie-break question was the year in which the Guide Association celebrates its 100th birthday.
The right answer was 2010, and 4th Erith guessed the nearest and won winners' shields.
Everyone who took part in the final received a certificate.
