THERE will be fun on the lake at this year's Danson Festival as spectators enjoy a charity dragon boat race.
The event will raise cash for the Anthony Nolan Trust, which runs a register of bone marrow donors for leukaemia sufferers.
It takes place on July 2 on the lake in Danson Park, Danson Road, Welling.
There will be timed heats before the top teams compete in the final race for a trophy.
Prizes will also be up for grabs for the team which is the "most out of puff" and the best-dressed team.
Around 20 teams have already entered the race.
Racing will start at 9am and finish at around 5pm.
There is a £13 per person entry fee, with a commitment to raise £45 sponsorship.
To enter a team, call Louise Wright at the trust on 01634 221666.
