VOTERS will have the chance to elect an MP for a new constituency at the next General Election.
Lewisham West, currently held by Labour MP Jim Dowd, is being extended and renamed Lewisham West and Penge.
The constituency, which covers Bellingham, Forest Hill, Perry Vale and Sydenham, will now also include Crystal Palace, Penge and Elmers End.
The changes will come into effect at the next General Election.
Around 70,000 people will be eligible to vote in the constituency, which has been extended on the advice of electoral body the Boundary Commission for England.
It says the changes reflect the "political needs" of Lewisham and Penge.
