A GROUP of young musicians has been working with nursery children to help get them to love music.
Five Year 8 pupils from Thomas Tallis Secondary School, Kidbrooke Park Road, Greenwich, visit toddlers at Pound Park Nursery each Tuesday to help their musical development.
This is part of a programme enabling youngsters at the nursery to benefit from the skill and experience of secondary school children.
Charlton Manor School, Hornfair Road, Charlton, is the lead school in the Charlton schools' cluster, which provides a minibus for Thomas Tallis students to travel to the nursery in Pound Park Road, Charlton.
The other primary schools involved in the cluster are Cardwell School, Frances Street, Woolwich; Cherry Orchard, Rectory Field Crescent, Greenwich; Fossdene, Victoria Way, Charlton; Our Lady of Grace, Charlton Road, Greenwich, and Thorntree, Thorntree Road, Charlton.
Charlton Manor headteacher Tim Baker said: "We are delighted to be able to facilitate this learning experience by providing our new school minibus and an experienced driver."
