NEIGHBOURS of a sports ground on the Sidcup bypass are furious at news of a planning application to create an off-road buggy track there.
The application for the Flamingo Park Sports Club includes a pit lane, a viewing pavilion and a moveable marshal control tower.
It is also proposed to use the track seven days a week between 10am and 10pm.
Residents say the noise from motorbikes which already use the land is "intolerable".
They claim the club has done nothing to stop this despite numerous complaints.
The application has been made to Bromley Council because the Flamingo Park Sports Club is just inside Bromley.
However, Bexley Council will be able to consider whether it wants to make an objection to Bromley.
Many residents who will be affected by the proposal live in Bexley and say they have not been told or consulted.
People can object in writing to both Bexley and Bromley councils.
