AN OFF-DUTY policeman accused of being involved in a brawl is facing a retrial.
Bromley-based Police Constable Paul Jarrett, 43, was allegedly one of up to 10 football fans fighting on a platform at Victoria station in London.
Passengers were forced to dodge the confrontation on March 19 last year, Middlesex Guidhall Crown Court heard on March 13.
PC Jarrett, of Pixton Way, Selsdon, denied affray.
After the two-week case, jurors failed to reach a verdict against the Metropolitan police officer, following two days of deliberations.
Four co-defendents, who claimed they were acting in self defence or denied being violent, were cleared of any wrongdoing.
Mr Jarrett had been to watch the Chelsea v Crystal Palace match and had been drinking in station pubs when the violence began. It is not said to be football-related.
Prosecutors have been given seven days to decide if they wish to re-try him .
