TRIBUTES have been paid to Colin Wollweber the president of North Cray Residents' Association, who died last month.
Mr Wollweber, of Parsonage Lane, North Cray, had been a committee member of the residents' association for 50 years and its chairman for 28 years, before becoming president.
A champion of the green belt, he used his knowledge of planning laws to make sure any planning applications which might encroach on the green belt, were very fiercely fought.
His successor as chairman, John Harrington said: "Our association will be much diminished without him."
He leaves his wife, Betty, three children and three grandchildren.
