GIRLS from a Belvedere Brownie pack were treated to a tour around Bexleyheath police station as a treat for gaining their crime prevention badge.

The 1st Belvedere Pack was given the tour by Police Community Support Office Jay Worrall who did the assessment for their badges.

To gain a badge the Brownies, based at All Saints Church, Belvedere, had to undertake tasks such as finding out how property marking can help and find out about property protection schemes such as Neighbourhood Watch.

They also had to explain how to protect an empty home from burglars.

Sergeant Jas Sandhu, who heads Belvedere's Safer Neighbourhoods policing team, said: "We hope they will be able to take their knowledge back to their families and spread the word about crime prevention."
