Jo Brand reads one of the NHS trust's membership leaflets
MENTAL health is no laughing matter, which is why former psychiatric nurse Jo Brand is helping to support the cause.
The South London and Maudsley NHS Trust is inviting residents to become members to help develop and run its services.
The trust provides mental health and substance misuse services to the residents of Bromley, Greenwich, Bexley, Lewisham, Southwark and Croydon.
Becoming a member of the trust enables people to have a greater say in how health services are run, by electing a council to guide the organisation.
