AN APPEAL for information has been launched by police following an armed robbery at a shop.
Officers were called to Argos, Peninsular Park Road, Charlton, at 6.15am on March 6, after two black men forced their way into the building.
As one staff member realised what was happening one of the suspects grabbed him and forced him back inside the shop.
One of the suspects was armed with a small handgun.
The offenders then directed the staff to a safe.
They held staff at gunpoint, forcing them to open and empty the safe.
The suspects took the money and ran out of the shop. No-one was seriously injured.
Anyone with information should call 020 7232 6530.
