STUDENTS got a taste of democracy with their own leadership battle to become head girl of their school.
Cobham Hall School in Cobham has a student management team made up of a head girl, dubbed the guardian, two deputies, and four house captains.
Candidates for the roles prepared their election campaigns and addressed the rest of the school, setting out their ideas for the year.
Teachers and pupils made their selection via the ballot box.
The winner was announced over the school's public address system.
Cobham Hall School is a member of Round Square, a world-wide association of schools sharing the same mission statement.
A student Round Square representative was also chosen at the election.
