THERE was extra protection for cyclists from Beths Grammar School in Bexley Village when staff invited the neighbourhood police to security mark their bikes.
The school, in Hartford Road, encourages pupils to cycle to school to improve their fitness and help the environment.
Its growing popularity had led to an order for more bike sheds.
The school also has a cycle club and PC Leyton Gill and community support officer Mary Walsh also marked all of the club's bikes.
