POLICE Community Support Officers in Belvedere are trying to build relationships with youngsters by dropping in on them at the community centre in Mitchell Close.
Officers visit every third Monday to talk about safety, anti-social behaviour and to get to know the youngsters.
Sector police inspector Steve Duffy explained: "It is important for young people to get to know their police officers.
"Building a good relationship means we can make sure young people do not get involved in anti-social behaviour and we often learn about the problems they are facing which we would otherwise not know about."
