A PRIMARY school pupil is quids in after winning an anti-graffiti poster competition.
Trevor O'Connor, from Thorn Tree School, Thorn Tree Road, Charlton, was one of 100 pupils from five junior schools in the borough to take part in the campaign to highlight the problems of graffiti.
Greenwich police, London and Quadrant Housing Trust and Greenwich Council invited schoolchildren to design a poster, which will be displayed in buildings across the borough.
Eleven-year-old Trevor won a games console and a cheque for £250 for the school for his poster banning spray cans in the borough.
The runners-up in the competition received gift tokens.
Organiser Sergeant Chris Ellinson from the Safer Schools Partnership said: "This initiative is a positive contribution by young people who have been given lessons on the adverse effects of graffiti and who have thought about the impact of causing graffiti in the community."
Residents can report instances of graffiti to the council by calling 020 8921 4661.
