FAMILIES dug deep and scooped up bargains at a jumble sale to raise funds for church building work.
The sale, held at the United Reform Church, Rushmore Hill, Pratts Bottom, raised £245 to go towards the refurbishment of the kitchen at All Souls' Church in the same road.
The church has already raised the majority of the £11,000 needed for the works through donations and other fundraising events.
All Souls' vicar the Reverend Penny Evan said: "It was a very good morning and had a lot of support, with 100 people attending. We are very pleased with the result."
